Gold Chaser

The "Gold Chaser" expert advisor trades in fully automated mode these 4 symbols: XAUUSD (Gold), XAGUSD (Silver), BTCUSD (Bitcoin), and XBRUSD (Brent Oil). I am going to add other cryptocurrencies and/or stock exhange indices in the near future.

Possibilities of the "non-major" symbols really differ from what you are accustomed to with the usual set of symbols. First of all, gold moves very quickly. Like major symbols, gold reacts to political events, important economic events and speeches of VIP geeks. However, gold moves in a much more swaying manner. The same is applicable to silver, oil and certain cryptocurrencies.

The advisor uses the American Dollar Index ("Dixie") as a supporting symbol. Make sure you have the 6 symbols making up the Dixie in your terminal: EURUSD, USDJPY, GBPUSD, USDCAD, USDSEK, and USDCHF. Otherwise the advisor will not work properly. Sometimes, USDSEK is available but not tradeable in the terminal. This is ok, too, because the advisor only needs price data.

I used the most reliable approach (among my favorite three approaches) to do the machine learning for this strategy, that is 2 recurrent neural nets: buy or uncertainty and sell or uncertainty. The 2 nets compete and are allowed to close both their own trades and trades of the other net.

Run the expert advisor on one chart. Regardless of the current chart, the EA always trades all of its symbols at the same time.

The "Gold Chaser" expert advisor can be launched on the chart of any symbol and any timeframe.


Recommended settings for live trading

Recommended chart / timeframe: daily chart of gold.
Volume per 1 trade is 0.01 for 1000 USD of deposit.
Max trades per signal = 2
Take = 600
Trail = 200
Currently, I do not recommend trading Bitcoin (Name for Bitcoin = None by default). An insufficient history of bars favors strongly a buy, while Bitcoin seems to have reached its historical max (as of June 2024).
Be careful if you decide to trade Oil (Name for Oil = None by default). The min volume for Oil is very often 0.5, which is 50 times more than the usual min value.


Expert Advisor properties

  • Name for Gold >> check the full name for gold in the "Market Watch" of your MetaTrader and put it into this field. Set "None" to temporarily disable new trades for this symbol.
  • Name for Silver >> same as for "Name for Gold".
  • Name for Bitcoin >> same as for "Name for Gold".
  • Name for Oil >> same as for "Name for Gold".
  • Suffix for symbols >> it can be handy for those who have symbols with different suffixes in their terminal. Most users can leave this field empty.
  • Close on profit (%) >> it closes everything when this percentage value is reached. It is calculated as a current profit of the advisor trades to the available balance. Zero to switch off.
  • Max trades per signal >> max number of trades per symbol per signal.
  • Magic number >> the advisor only sees trades with this number.
  • Volume >> volume per trade. Fixed volume (example: 0.02) or percentage of available funds (example: 0.015%). The EA prints the real volume on the "Experts" tab when starting or changing the timeframe. Always use a fixed amount for accounts that use a deposit currency other than the US dollar (i.e. euro, yuan, bitcoin, Australian dollar, etc.).

I have purchased the Gold Chaser EA from Evgeniy about two months ago. The EA accurately replicates backtest results in live trades and has been profitable so far! Evgeniy is responsive person as well!

One more review about another Evgeniy's EA called "Intraday Rush". It works well in my view and I would like to keep my 5-star review for both products. I will update my review later.

I have purchased the Gold Chaser EA from Evgeniy about two months ago. The EA accurately replicates backtest results in live trades and has been profitable so far! Evgeniy is responsive person as well!

One more review about another Evgeniy's EA called "Intraday Rush". It works well in my view and I would like to keep my 5-star review for both products. I will update my review later.

1. I changed the inputs. It is now the analysis of 20 days to make a forecast for the next 5 days. Signals should change faster, and this should help against long-running drawdowns.

1. I changed the target values. Symbols of this advisor are different. To use the same target values, I use a multiplier. A base value is Bitoin, and Bitcoin's target values default to 400 and 100. It is all the same. Even if a value is different, if it is bigger it is bigger.
