Dark Algo MT5

I started using this ea on MT4 and now i use it on MT5 because of the many possibilities with the many timeframes that are offered with MT5. This EA is easy to optimise. It's one of the best on MQL5. The version 1.70 makes it the ultimate EA ! Moving average filter!

I've been using this EA for some time now, and I am really impressed with its consistency and performance. The strategy is well-optimized, and the risk management features are excellent. It adapts well to different market conditions, making it a valuable tool for traders. However, I believe the opening of subsequent trades based on the Martingale strategy could be further optimized. The ability to manage second and subsequent trades should be controlled by indicators to ensure new trades align with the current market trend. I am eagerly looking forward to future updates of Dark Algo!

Hi, friend. This is a honest review. I have tested this EA enough to write a proper review and provide feedback. I tested him for months and also in live real trading. The EA makes decent profits, is not over-optimized, which is good, but lacks proper risk management at this moment. I know forex is risky and I know your EA cannot predict the future, but I am convinced this EA can be significantly improved in terms of risk management and stoploss, even when it is a grid strategy. Without a proper stoploss that works correctly, this is going to a war (the forex market) without proper weapons. Even if the market is risky, if you don't have a good risk management, you are out. Let me explain. In the current situation, the whole account can be blown up. That is what happened to me in a backtest on 22 November 2024 with my old broker Swissquote. The whole balance was gone, the initial deposit was 100k, I lost 100k. I was not trading with real money that day, and I also have now a new broker, Fusion Markets, and luckily for me, I don't have the stoploss there with Fusion Markets on 22 November in backtest, but people I know reported to me the EA did definitely do a stoploss at this date and lost a lot of money on raw accounts even from brokers you recommend like IcMarkets and Roboforex. I checked it together with them again in a backtest, and the stoploss is definitely there as well at this date. The backtest was done with a real account and not a demo, for accurate data, because the stoploss does not seem to happen with a demo account on IcMarkets (which is strange), but it definitely happens in the backtest of a real account (also on Roboforex) and the losses also took place in reality, in real money trading with Ic Markets, people reported. So I don't understand that you told me you didn't suffer the losses yourself on 22 November with your trading account. Before the events happened at 22 November, I was back then testing the EA as usual and did a backtest of 20 years using data from Tickdata Suite and then the EA didn't do a single stoploss, which is good, but suffered at least 4 stoplosses between 2012-2016 with a spread broker I tested (Swissquote), without Tickdata Suite. Of course I only use now a raw account on my new broker, Fusion Markets. Ok, back to the point I wanted to make to significantly improve the EA for us all. The reason that all money is gone on an account, in real trading or in a backtest, is not only due to Trump's elections, but the max amount of loss was already reached for the set stoploss, tho the EA didn't close the positions due to "close on open price setting". This means the EA would wait and close on the next candle instead. But the whole account of 100 k was gone because one single candle kept going downwards and the broker liquidated the positions due to margin stop out level reached. A separate setting that allows the user to enable "close on open price" only for takeprofit, but not for stoploss, would solve the above issue and would make the stoploss more "guaranteed", that you cannot lose too much more and actually closing on the amount the user insert in the settings. The problem with a generic setting and not separately is, if the take profit doesn't use "close on open price", it will barely make any profits as it closes on the amount of default set points (50) and will not profit from the positive volatility. So you can also just increase the amount of take profit points, but this makes the EA's strategy heavily modified and potentially broken, and can eventually lead to even more stoplosses, like I have seen in other backtests. For example, a take profit of 100 points is still very small money income in comparison to the positive volatility gains of Open Price, so this means you will also be less protected to cope with further stoplosses, as you have built up too less reserves. But if you increase the amount of points even more in the hope to get more profit, you will hit stoplosses much more frequently. I hope this brings some insight. And with close on open price on, you never know what your maximum loss will be (not talking about slippage or other market dynamics). This brings high stress and huge uncertainty to trading, because you don't know how much you can lose and one day the account can be gone. Closing on open price for a stoploss, can also have its pros and advantages in some market conditions, as it can prevent doing a stoploss completely and saving money, however, I prefer more certainty that the EA will execute its stoploss order when the maximum amount of loss is reached, like set in the settings. Maybe you can consider this for your update for your EA in 2025. The more freedom for the user, the better. 2025 will be the year for Dark Algo if you take into account this suggestion. But I know you are a legit developer, and compared what I have seen in other EA's on the market, Dark Algo is not dead, but there is room for improvement. I am still not sure if I will use it again however in its current state, but I will reconsider using this grid strategy again with a proper working stoploss. I hope you take the feedback to heart.

Edit: new backtest for 20 years long with Tickdata Suite data on Fusion Markets: Only 35 k net profit in the backtest for 20 years long 2003-till now if close on open price is set to false, versus close on open price on true: more than 1,79 million (max lot size on Fusion is restricted to 100, but grid system takes into consideration smaller lots because it thinks it will reach the 100 max lot size with the sequential multiple trades in the grid system, so in theory it can be multiple millions if lot size can be bigger). So "close on open price" needs to be true for takeprofit and false for stoploss!

Infelizmente perdeu mais de 83% do capital em pouco mais de 1 mês, coloquei em uma conta demo ainda bem, coloquei o EA com gerenciamento de risco automático. A experiência foi pessima, vou desativar o EA e nunca mais vou usar. Altissimo risco em uma comta de 5K.

I purchased Dark Algo MT5 since 2 weeks and since one week with live account I get 10% to 20% profit, @Marco can you please give me Dark Gold MT5 for free as you mentioned in description and if possible Dark Support Resistance MT5 indicator!

I have many Eas, but none are as safe and stable as Dark Algo and Dark Titan.
