GoldRadarPro

The GoldRadarPro trading robot is designed to operate on the XAU/USD currency pair. Optimized for an M30 (30-minute) trading timeframe, it is ideal for traders seeking a balance between short-term and medium-term trading strategies.

Technical Indicators Used

  • Bollinger Bands: These are volatility bands placed above and below a moving average. The distance between the bands is based on the standard deviation, which changes as volatility increases and decreases. The robot uses Bollinger Bands to identify overbought or oversold conditions and potential breakout opportunities.

  • Rate of Change (ROC): This momentum oscillator measures the percentage change in price between the current price and the price a certain number of periods ago. The robot uses ROC to gauge the speed and magnitude of price movements, helping to confirm trends.

  • Relative Strength Index (RSI): This oscillator measures the speed and change of price movements, ranging from 0 to 100. The robot uses RSI to identify overbought or oversold conditions, with values above 70 indicating overbought and below 30 indicating oversold.

  • Vortex Indicator: This consists of two lines that capture positive and negative trend movement. The robot uses the Vortex Indicator to identify the start of new trends and potential reversal points.

These indicators help the robot assess market conditions, identifying potential entry and exit points based on a comprehensive analysis of price action, volatility, and trend strength.

Development and Testing

  • Forward Testing: Simulated in real-time market conditions to validate its effectiveness before commercial release.

Configurable Parameters

  • Magic Number: A unique identifier for the robot’s trades, allowing users to distinguish between trades made by different robots or strategies.
  • Lots: The size of each trade, which can be adjusted based on the user’s risk tolerance and account size.
  • Exit on Friday: An option to close all open positions before the market closes on Friday.
  • Use Money Management: (true/false) If set to true, the robot will use a percentage of the total balance instead of a fixed lot size.
  • Risk Percent: The percentage of the account balance to be risked per trade when money management is enabled.
  • Lots: The fixed lot size to be used when money management is set to false.

It is recommended to activate money management based on risk or adjust the number of lots according to the account balance.
