Indicator Needed: MACD(MACD (DEMA) DiNapoli_v1 lines.mq4)

IMPORTANT: The recent rebuild of MT4 has caused some issues when trying to instal the MACD. Please follow the instructions here: https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/149368 if you experience any problems.

How to Install the MACD

  1. Go to program files on your PC
    • Meta Trader (which ever. Mine is Forex Place)
      • experts
        • indicators
    Then upload the files that you downloaded above:
    • MACD (DEMA) DiNapoli_v1 lines.mq4 ()
    • omegavus_4hr_main_trend.tpl
  2. Now go to program files
    • Meta Trader
      • Templates
    And upload: omegavus_4hr_main_trend.tpl (same file that you downloaded above)
  3. Reboot Meta Trader (important step)
  4. Then when inside MetaTrader4 click on "Charts"
    • Then Templates
      • Then omegavus_4hr_main_trend

Now for the 80/20 lines

To get these lines on your MACD follow these steps.

  1. Open up the navigator window in MT4 (if it is not already showing click the view tab at the top and then click Navigator)
  2. Find the “stochastic oscillator” and drag it onto your MACD window
  3. A box will pop up. Click the “levels” tab and add the levels 80 and 20.
  4. On that same box, click "Colors" and make sure both "Main" and "Signal" are turned to "None"

IMPORTANT UPDATE 1: The recent rebuild and update of MT4 has caused a few issues with uploading the MACD. Below is a link with instructions from the official MQL4 website (MQL4 is the code Metatrader is written in). It gives excellent instructions on uploading a custom indicator (which is what the MACD is). You can download the MACD below the video. Once you have that please follow the instructions at http://forum.mql4.com/60661 in order to get the MACD working on your chart.


IMPORTANT UPDATE 2: Another recent build of MT4 (July 2017) means that the red line is often not showing. If you have this issue then remove the MACD dinapoli and replace with the regualr macd and change to the 3rd dotted red signal line.
