An EA based on one indicator value, some specific price action behaviour, and CSV output of trade metrics whilst being back tested in MT4/MT5. There are currently 12 input parameters related to the trade signal (setup), execution (entering position) and management (stop-loss / profit target). The CSV output will provide details like the parameters that resulted in trade signal, and the position performance eg High Water Marks over the life of the trade. A glossary and diagrams will be provided to add visual explanation to the understanding of certain concepts.
Example trade: StochRSI SmoothD less than 25, closed bar low is lowest low in last 50 bars, lower wick is long in comparison to size of body, place Stop Limit Order. If certain Price Action develops, cancel order. Once a position is open, initial stop loss, trailing stop loss, profit target and time in trade are all determined by input variable parameters. [Note: The specific indicator is a custom indicator (similar to StochRSI), not an in-built indicator.]
The strategy is quite straight forward, there will be a number of additional filter criteria added in due course (time of day, ATR, Portfolio Correlation etc) so EA needs to be extensible (ie would prefer not to have a long list of nested IF clauses, something more like an Array of All True elements).
I appreciate this description is a little light on detail, if there are specifics I've overlooked based on questions I will update this description.
