Good day I would like to make changes to an EA that I am using and add an indicator to help the EA. (EA and indicator will be supplied)
The Expert Advisor operates using Buy Stop and Sell Stop orders: within the "Number of bars" interval, the EA searches for High and Low prices in the "Work TimeFrame". Then, it places pending orders at a distance from the found High and Low equal to "Indent from High and Low". If you enable the "Use time control" option, pending orders will be placed not earlier than the specified time ("Start hour" and "Start minute").
High and Low search is checked at the emergence of a new bar of the TF "Work TimeFrame", provided there are no open positions or pending orders.
When a pending order triggers, all other orders (which have not triggered) are deleted.
The indicator measures volatility in a multi-timeframe fashion aiming at identifying flat markets, volatility spikes and price movement cycles in the market.
I would like the EA to use the indicator to identify spikes and then have the EA adjust the range on every candle after a spike has occurred and until the range settles. Currently it places orders above and below the range but I would like it to place orders from the center of the range and to break even if price crosses into the opposite direction. if price crosses above the center line, buy and below sell. Some things to add:
- close on profit amount
- notifications
- trading days (Monday to sunday) each with individual start and end time
