Each new trading day, User will update/restart Robot with new price pivot level.
User will input the standard stop loss parameters to protect against losses, or take profit after trend changes back. These parameters are the initial distance from entry, and the length the the market trail.
User will input whether user would like to activate the long side, and/or activate the short side...At times the User may only wish to trade the long side, or the short of a price level.
If either the long or the short side is active, the Robot will trade against that level with the following conditions.
- The price level has not yet been crossed or touched more than twice in daily market session, on an hourly basis. Which means that the robot will not trade the level again until an hour has passed without any interaction with the price level. For example, if given price level is below the live market when the robot is initiated, the robot will place a bid and stop loss order. If this order is filled, and the stop loss is hit; the market must remain below that price level for at least one hour before robot would then trade from the short side, or it must bounce back above the level and hold above for more than an hour before it would again trade from the long side.
( Visually speaking on a chart, there needs to be a full 1 hour bar gap in the chart during which the pivot level is not crossed or touched after a trade before the robot will trade again. ( I would like there to be a buffer zone for this, say 5 ticks zone on either side of the pivot level)
- Each side, long or short, ONLY gets 2 (two) attempts to trade, after which it will no longer place trades
- Position management - entry is by limit order, 1 tick better than the pivot level depending which side long/short
- trailing stop is placed same time as limit, with user defined attributes
- Position limited to one trade at a time
- Position will close at 4pm EST or 1 hour before CME futures market close
- Risk Management - max trades at once is 1`
- max loss is 3 losing trades
- position exit before close
