Hello,
I am looking to create an engulfing candle scanner with UI. Details below:
- Indicator or expert that will scan for bullish & bearish engulfing candles on the chart that it is attached to
- When a bullish or bearish engulfing candle is detected it will print an arrow above/below the candle.
- Ability to send MT4 alerts + email alerts when an engulfing candle is detected
- In addition there should be a UI box displayed on the chart that has the following details:
1) Alert Status: (showing if the user has alerts enabled or disabled)
2) Trend: Up or down (this will be calculated using SMA settings)
3) Volatility: High or low (this will be based on ADX)
4) Time Till Next Candle (simple count down timer till the next candle begins)
5) Our website name/logo
Settings Input:
==Panel Configuration==
Show Panel: true/false
Panel Size: number
==Alert Configuration==
MT4 Alert: true/false
Email Alert: true/false
==General Configuration==
Look back bars: Number of bars the scanner will look back when attached to the chart
Trend SMA: 20 (this will be the SMA that is used to determine trend. Example: if price is above 20 SMA our UI box will show trend as up. If price is below 20 SMA it will show trend as down)
Volatility ADX: 50 (this will be the ADX reading to use for volatility. Example: if ADX is above 50 box will show high volatility. If ADX is below 50 box will show low volatility)
Draw Arrow Size: Font size of arrow that will be displayed on chart
And any other inputs you think would be helpful for our tool

I installed the E.A. into the Experts folder in MT4. When I double click on it nothing happens. When I right click and "attach to chart" nothing happens. The E.A. is not grayed out, it simply will not attach. Any help would be greatly Appreciated
