The Fair Value Gap (FVG) is a price range where one side of the market liquidity is offered, typically confirmed by a liquidity void on the lower time frame charts in the same price range.

Price can "gap" to create a literal vacuum in trading, resulting in an actual price gap.

Fair Value Gaps are most commonly used by price action traders to identify inefficiencies or imbalances in the market, indicating that buying and selling are not equal.

If you're following the ICT Trading Strategy or Smart Money Concepts, this indicator can be a valuable tool for your trading.

An ICT Inversion Fair Value Gap, or reverse FVG, occurs when a fair value gap fails to hold its price, resulting in the price moving beyond and breaking the gap. This situation marks the initial change in price momentum.

HOW TO USE FVG

currently i see a daily fvg that is not filled which i think is due to the fractal filter setting and with no access to source code i can tweak it to test for lower values and this has made me not want to depend totally on it for seeing my fvg other than that the indicator is ok

The indicator works based on the timeframe of the chart it’s applied to. For example, if you apply it to a daily chart, it shows daily FVGs, and on a H1 chart, it shows H1 FVGs. So to monitor FVGs on different timeframes, you can open multiple charts with the indicator. I'll consider adding a dropdown for the fractal filter to give you more control. However, this might unnecessarily increase the algorithm's complexity and slow down MT5, especially if you're running multiple indicators or EAs. Thanks for your feedback!
