What is this indicator?
This EA is a plugin of MT5's FX verification software "Knots Compositor".
You can open, change and close positions just like in a real trade.
The profit and loss of all positions is recorded in account.
How to set up
1. Download all historical data for the target currency pair to calculate the profit of the position in dollars.
2. Open the chart of the target currency pair and scroll to the end in the past direction.
3. If the target currency pair is a cross currency, do the same for the chart of the profit currency and US dollar pairs.
4. Install this EA on all charts with Knots Compositor installed.
5. Customize each parameter on the Input tab of the EA properties. (Each parameter must be the same for all Testboards)
How to place an order
1. Press the hotkey "O" to open Testboard.
2. Select a currency pair and order type.
3. If it is a limit or stop order, enter the price.
4. Enter the number of lots.
5. Enter the T/P and S/L. (You can also enter the price in pips)
6. Enter the trailing stop. (You can also enter the price in pips)
7. Press the order button to complete the order.
How to modify an order
1. Double-click the trade level of the target order to open the order board.
2. Modify the value of each field.
3. When the value of each field modifies, the MODIFY button is shown.
4. Press the MODIFY button.
How to delete a TP or SL
1. Double-click the trade level of the target order to open the order board.
2. Enter 0 in the TP or SL field.
3. Press the MODIFY button.
How to delete a limit or stop order
1. Double-click the trade level of the target order to open the order board.
2. Press the CANCEL button.
How to check the profit of a position
1. Double-click the trade level of the target order to open the order board.
2. Click the order ID on the order board to display the order information window.
3. Check the Profit item in the order information. (You can also check the profit with the trade level tooltip)
How to close a position
1. Double-click the trade level of the target order to open the order board.
2. Press the CLOSE button.
How to check account information
1. Press the hotkey "O" to open Testboard.
2. Click the Testboard caption to open the account information window.
How to handle test data
Move the Common Thread to the right.
- How to restore:
Move the Common Thread to the left.
Export the test data as a text file or CSV file. (Export feature)
- How to load:
Import the test data from the exported text file. (Import feature)
Delete the test data. (Reset feature)
Account settings
- Base currency (USD)
- Contract size (1 Lot = 100,000)
- Minimum trade volume (0.01 Lots)
- Maximum trade volume (99.99 Lots)
- Spread (Candlestick values synchronized by Knots Compositor)
- Deposit (Parameter on the Inputs tab of the EA properties)
- Leverage (Parameter on the Inputs tab of the EA properties)
- Stop out level (Parameter on the Inputs tab of the EA properties)
About test data
Test data is a record of account, including all orders and trade history.
Test data is saved as a text file in the folder of Testboard with the name "default.txt".
The relative path to the folder is ".\MQL5\Files\Testboard".
If you import a text file of test data, the "default.txt" file will be overwritten.
Hotkeys
- Open Testboard (default="O")
- Open the next order board (default="Shift+O")
- Open the previous order board (default="Ctrl+Shift+O")
- Jump to the next entry point (default="Shift+J")
- Jump to the previous entry point (default="Ctrl+Shift+J")
- Hide the all trade history (default="Ctrl+Shift+H")
- Close the all current positions (default="Ctrl+Shift+C")
- Deposit in account (default="Shift+D")
- View account information (default="Ctrl+Shift+A")
- Import test data (default="Ctrl+Shift+I")
- Export test data (default="Ctrl+Shift+E")
- Reset test data (default="Ctrl+Shift+R")
Tips
- You can delete a trade history by holding down the tab key and clicking.
- You can close each board by pressing the escape key.
Caution
- If the required historical data has not been downloaded, Testboard and each indicator will stop working until the download is complete.
- If a message box is displayed, Testboard will stop working.
- If there is not enough memory, Testboard may stop working.
- If you have a large number of positions or trade histories, Testboard will slow down.
- If you have a large number of graphic objects on the chart, Testboard will slow down.
