I want to share a little anecdote with you about an error I recently encountered in our Expert Advisor (EA) and how I fixed it. 🛠️
🔍 The Problem
I was conducting some tests and noticed that the terminal was slowing down more than expected during historical backtesting. Upon investigating, I discovered that a function I had created, Display_Info(), was executing even when it shouldn't.
🤦♂️ What Did I Do Wrong?
The logic I used to control when Display_Info() should execute was incorrect. Initially, the condition I implemented was:

I thought this would ensure that the function only executed during live trading or historical backtesting in visual mode. However, the logic allowed Display_Info() to run in undesired contexts, such as during optimizations or non-visual tests, which caused the terminal to slow down.
🔧 The Solution
After carefully analyzing the issue, I adjusted the condition to ensure that Display_Info() only executes in the correct scenarios:

Bonjour à tous, Je gère un PAMM auprès de plusieurs investisseurs et les EA NODE / AXIS et LINK font partie de ma stratégie au 6/10 des EA que possède le compte. Toujours très content des EA de ENRIQUE, après le CENTER, le CENTER SPECIALIZED, le ZENITH etc. Je partage souvent mes questions et mes impressions avec Enrique, aujourd'hui encore nous avons discuter de l'EA LINK. Coté DD% c'est vraiment faible, je ne me fait aucun soucis la dessus et je le regarde même plus ! Depuis que je possède AXIS, j'ai obtenu un gain de 33.35 $ en ayant 0.25 lot en compte CENT. J'envisage d'augmenter progressivement la taille des lot, vu mon capital total. Pour l'EA NODE, j'en suis à 21.21$ pour un lot initial à 0.15 lot compte CENT. Pour connaitre mes chiffres pour l'EA LINK, je vous invite à aller voir mon avis sur cet EA !
Il faut savoir aussi que j'ai décidé d'utiliser à nouveaux ces EA sur un compte personnel CENT, avec un plus petit capital, mais aussi en utilisant les tailles de lots recommandé par ENRIQUE. Jusqu'à présent j'ai toujours plus de 2.5% par semaine en rendement.
