I am a full time algo trader and you might have stumbled across my reviews on some of the top EAs on MQL5. As usual, I will run an EA for 2 weeks before dropping my review so without further ado, let's begin. This is my 3rd product from Vladimir's arsenal after PrizmaL Gold and PrizmaL Scalper. As a full time algo trader, I am particular about the EAs that I keep in my inventory and I always mention this in my reviews. If anything, Monic has definitely earned its spot in my top 5 EAs for its reliability. Follow along and find out why. Note: Due to the nature of reviews on MQL5 that doesn't allow embedding images, you may find the screenshots of my trades in the comments section instead.

There are two prime reasons why I chose Monic. First, because its developed by one of my favorite developers, Vladimir Lekhovitser. Secondly because it doesn't trade in currency pair that is tied down to USD. At the time of this review, Trump was elected, had the Liberation news, and had Tariff wars with China that has become a historical event for US and messed up the market for any currency that trades against USD. This is not the first time chaos has ensued USD based pair and I was out looking for "anything but USD" EA for diversification.
*********************************************************************************************************
Enter Monic. Monic trades in AUDCAD currency pair only which has a decent volatility and is usually not much affected by USD's nonsense. AUDCAD falls under Forex's Minor category making it somewhat playful to trade with. Monic does this extremely well. Monic basically employs 8 different distinct strategies that are specifically designed for AUDCAD pair alone using averaging approach. The cores of these strategies are based on Stochastic Oscillator for overbought and oversold states and Bollinger Bands to determine market's volatility range. Because of this, Monic doesn't rely on one specific time for market execution. Each of these trades is managed with dynamic TP and SL levels to adapt to market conditions consistently. I'll explain a little more below as I got to experience this myself too.
*********************************************************************************************************
Monic recommends using Standard ECN accounts as opposed to RAW ECN account that can drastically affect your profits positively as there will be no swap fees incurred. Most EAs that I use recommend tight spread accounts for strict entries and exits. This is common among Vladimir's products across the board.

Let's start with the part you guys actually want to read. I setup the account with $1000 USD capital, double of the minimum recommended of $500. As I mentioned, Monic employs 8 different strategies and you can actually pick which one to enable and which one you do not want to enable. The default settings enables all strategies except strategy #4 and #8. Knowing Vladimir, he always set his EA's default settings to the most optimal risks, so I kept them as it is too. I do highly recommend you to keep these as default. The one big decision you need to make though, is what's your risk apetite. Monic gives 8 levels of risk ranging from [1]Very Low - [8] Extreme. I use [5] Medium-High which I think strikes the perfect balance in drawdown levels and leaves plenty of equity for high market volatility. If it discounts anything, as a full time algo trader, I have a strict law of never going higher than 65% of risk levels whenever the option is presented and I am very right with Monic so far. Risk levels basically determines what will be the lot size based on your available balance. As your account balance grows, the lot size will dynamically adjust at the ratio of available equity. You can also override this with Fixed Lot option if you do not prefer dynamic lot adjustments. This can be useful if you want to start initially with higher risks on small capital to build it up and once the account reaches the size you were expecting, it keeps running only at that lot size. The rule of thumb is simple, the higher the account balance, the lower risk you should set.

If you refer to Image 1 in my screenshots link above, you will notice that it has accumulated $189.21 USD profits on a $1000 USD account in just 10 days. That is almost 20% profits in 2 weeks, making it potentially capable of earning up to 40% profits a month on Medium-High risk. This means, In about 3 months, I can possibly gain back my capital and continue trading purely on the profits alone. Did I just get lucky? If you look at Image 2, the market was on a high uptrend, in support of AUD currency continuously and while there was some shuffling, Monic managed to prevail very successfully. Why is this important? Because Monic uses averaging strategies, market movement in one direction is less desirable than strong bulls and bears. Yet, Monic dealt its hand very successfully.

We're not done yet. Monic has protection features too. First, the drawdown limiter that allows you to instruct Monic to set a limit of maximum loss it should incur on your capital. Of course, you must be reasonable with this settings. If you set Extreme risks and allow only 10% drawdown limit, you might as well just burn that money. This setting is mostly useful for prop firm traders which I strictly stay away from anyway, so if you're a prop firm trader, you will definitely find this appealing. Not just that, Monic also employs news filters which is very handy. You can choose to avoid unfavorable trades during High Impact, Medium Impact and Low Impact news hours respectively. You can leave these as default. For end of the year holiday periods (15 Dec - 15 Jan), there is also an option to avoid trading and I highly recommend leaving this option on. Some of the best EAs that I own have this settings and its there for a very important reason. This is the period where market has very low volatility and unpredictable movements that can be very risky to your capital. Its holiday season, focus on spending your entire year profits instead. I do have suggestion pertaining to this though which is, the only period it needs to avoid trading is just 20 Dec - 10 Jan for the most part.

Here comes my favorite part. If you look at Image 3 in the link above, it shows a H1 chart between 14 April 2025 - 17 April 2025. On 15 April 2025, Monic opened a Sell position that went against its prediction. 6 hours later, it opened another Sell position at about 450 points above as expected. This continued on and another Sell position was opened 10 hours later at around similar distance again. All these trades were closed on 17 April 2025 based on averaging method. However, in between the process, Monic continued to employ other dynamic strategies that continued pushing for profits. On 15 April 2025 specifically at 1600 Hrs, as the market was closing in with profits for sells, it closed one of the open trades and opened another sell at the same position which seems like it was safeguarding the existing profits first. That was its best decision because the market did take a turn upwards again after that and it could have lose the opportunity to make the profits. Eventually, everything subsided and all trades gracefully closed successfully with multiple profits. This orchestration of multiple strategies was so beautiful to watch and you can definitely see them happening in backtesting too. Just keep in mind, if you're backtesting, it doesn't factor in the news filter. This few days event itself made me fall deeply in love with Monic, and placed it from my Top 10 best EAs to Top 5 position! Naturally, Monic has yet to hit any losses so far and it has been nothing but remarkable!
*********************************************************************************************************
In conclusion? Monic is a hidden gem in the ocean of EAs. In fact, I think its one of Vladimir's best creation actually. I also think its currently underpriced for what its capable of doing. I bought the Monic for $299 and I am already at 63% of the cost recovered. By end of this month, I would have fully cashed it in! If you're still seeing this price, seriously, get it right away! Vladimir is known to raise the prices as the EA gets famous, and will close all sales once it reaches about 300 - 500 users. I think this is only fair because a strategy is only effective for as long as not too many people use it. Vladimir is also known to not offer discounts, so once the boat has sailed, get it at whatever price it is offered while it is still being offered.

As for the author, I am not going to repeat myself on how great Vladimir is. You can read my review on PrizmaL Gold (which in itself is an extraordinary award winning EA) where I did mention about the author here: https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/131513?source=Site+Profile#!tab=reviews&id=review_37492854

Thank you for reading my review, and happy trading. Disclaimer, my reviews are my own opinions based on my own experience and in no way influenced by the author. I buy my own EAs and I leave them at my own capacity. If the review sounds extremely positive, its because it probably is. To support my claims, you can also compare it against the Live Signal and backtest it yourself.
