I want to take an existing volume indicator with an MA which is open source and improve it.
1. I wanted to improve the indicators prediction accuracy for the closing volume. This might be achieved by adding AI but I’m open to other suggestions how to improve its accuracy, either mathematically or using AI, or perhaps a combination of both, and possible using an average of multiple mathematical methods. 2. Ideally, the indicator and volume prediction should be applicable to multiple time frames so its robust although the primary time frame is a 1 hr bar.
3. The current volume prediction box (which shows the percentage increase above the MA length) should be simplified and only show the percentage above the MA and this will allow the box to be reduced in size so it is at least 50% smaller than it is currently.
4. The volume prediction percentage box should be movable so it can be moved anywhere within either the indicator or chart pane.
The primary objective is to make the volume prediction more accurate. It is very important to try and achieve an accurate volume prediction as quickly as possible at the start of the bar, ideally within minutes. This is because if a breakout is going to occur the price could move away from the breakout entry point very quickly, so you could mis the entry price. Consequently, the volume prediction needs to make an accurate prediction as quickly as possible.
Another feature which could be added is a percentage accuracy of prediction, so in a case where you have a prediction within the first 2 mins for example, the accuracy of prediction might only be 25%, but if we were able to wait longer say 5 mins, then that accuracy could increase to 50%, or 75% etc. This is not an essential feature but might be useful.
Key requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of TradingView scripting (Pine Script).
- Proven experience with volume analysis indicators.
- Ability to enhance and optimize existing indicators.
- Understanding of moving averages and their application in volume prediction.
You will have a strong background in technical analysis and indicator development, and will be able to deliver a custom volume analysis indicator that surpasses the capabilities of the original.
