This is a simple EA, but it must work in strategy tester. This means, if I understand correctly, that the button click event will not work, but the status of the buttons must be scanned on a per-tick basis.
I will want to be able to extract these code segments and put them into an ea that I have source code for. If I need help getting my EA to work, I will reach out for an additional personal gig for assistance.
This means that the parameters of each call must be documented and variables need meaningful names for clarity.
The code consists of the following:
Create 5 buttons in "init()"
Allow clicking and execute internal functions for each button in "ontick()"
"Run Function"
"Open BUY"
"Open SELL"
"Close Last"
"Close All"
* Open BUY and Open SELL will, in this test EA, open a single trade at the lot size of the previously opened trade, or at 1 lot if not previous trade is open
* Close Last will find the most recent trade and close it
* Run Function will call an internal function (named whatever you want) which will simply return 0
I am working on this as a current personal effort, so I need someone who has current availability. And I would like to work with someone that finds this to be a trivial task.

I have a custom EA that works fine in the live market trading, but when doing a back test in the strategy tester , it does not open sell orders. There are no errors or warnings; it just doesn't open sell orders. I've checked every possible reason that might be the reason why it does not open sell orders, but I can't find anything, especially since it works fine in the real market and it opens both buys and sells

I installed the E.A. into the Experts folder in MT4. When I double click on it nothing happens. When I right click and "attach to chart" nothing happens. The E.A. is not grayed out, it simply will not attach. Any help would be greatly Appreciated
