May 2023 proved to be a challenging month, reflecting the dynamic and complex nature of financial markets. The majority of our positions were placed in AUDNZD, AUDCAD, and NZDCAD, with varying degrees of success. Despite some losses, we saw positive trades on AUDNZD and AUDCAD, and a couple of favourable movements in NZDCAD that bolstered our overall performance. Our strategy for May was primarily to follow the trends in the AUDNZD and AUDCAD pairs. We took advantage of short-term reversals in the market trends, with most trades being executed with this strategy. However, the NZDCAD trades were part of our hedge strategy to mitigate some of the risks. In total, there were a number of trades that did not yield the expected results, primarily due to unpredictable market volatility. Nevertheless, several trades performed well and contributed positively to our performance. Looking ahead to June, our team expects that global economic uncertainties will persist, thereby continuing to fuel market volatility. This is where our expertise and strategic approach come to play.
