EA can only trade in one direction, either sales or buys.
If you want to trade in both directions, so that one grid can be on the other, then set EA to two charts.
EA will not mix drawdown and expected profit between buys and sales if you trade from two charts. If you want, you can use the reverse EA to close both grids when the total profit is reached.
Trading in 2 directions theoretically increases the overall profit and can reduce the drawdown of the account. So with one sagging grid, the opposite one may also be at a loss, but in the black for the second one or close the profits at that time.
Use a VPS with low pings, optimally from the market. When testing a successful grid at micro levels, a 200-300 ping test was performed and EA merged. At 20-30 EA showed the same results as without slippage.

Using a grid with wide levels, ping is of little importance in most cases.
