I would like to create a custom MT4 optimization for my MT4 EA and my backtesting period is from 2000 to 2012. There are parameters that I would like to optimize for profit from 2000 to 2012. The custom optimization require the EA to be profitable in a specific year while still maintain the approximate overall profitability for the entire backtesting period.  Can this be done?

 For example, the backtesting from 2000 to 2012, shows 10,000 pip profit. Using the custom optimization, I can specify a period from 2004 to 2006, the profit must be greater than 1,000 pips. The new solution would show that the overall profit from 2000 to 2012 is 9,200 pips and the period from 2004 to 2006 is greater than 1,225 pips. Let me know if this makes sense.
