Triple SMA crossover EA

 

This EA places trades based on a triple SMA crossover. Trades are trailed with a stop loss based on the ATR(14) indicator. Trades take profit at the trailing stop, or a SMA cross (fast-medium) in opposite direction.

Buy signal:

  • Fast SMA crosses up with Medium SMA

  • Fast SMA > Slow SMA

  • Medium SMA > Slow SMA

Sell signal:

  • Fast SMA crosses down with Medium SMA

  • Fast SMA < Slow SMA

  • Medium SMA < Slow SMA

Stop loss

Trailing stop loss:

All trades are trailed by a ATR(14) based stop loss. As default the stop loss starts at 2 times the ATR(14) value from the opening price (so below for short and above for long)

 

Crossover stop loss:

All trades are closed when the fast and medium SMA cross in opposite direction. (if they are not already stopped out by the trailing stop.

 

Trades should be placed directly with the stop loss (so not placing an order first and adding the stop loss after that)
