CHANGES TO SETTINGS IMPORTANT!!! GOLD EXCEL SYSTEM
With immediate effect, I m making the following changes to the settings, they will greatly improve performance on both charts, but most importantly chart 1 as has been underperforming in 2024.
3 year backtests of the new changes are attached.
Clients can manually change the inputs on their charts without sets, however sets will be published on the next comments.
CHART 1
The changes address a twin-fold issue, catching a spike post news and closing trades at 16:25 in marginal loss, then the next day the EA will set order at X3, even with a small loss. So we move close all to 22:00 to avoid this. Also by setting the gaps at 80/70 vastly reduces the number of poor post news entries. This means that on occasion, there will be 2 trades open simultaneously (from chart 1 + 2)
In chart 1 there are 4 inputs changing, the start hour from 10:00 to 07:00
The close order time from 16:25 to 22:00
Upside gap is moving from 30/20 to 80/70.
All times based on GMT3 broker (IC/Tickmill/Vantage/Fusion/FP/Pepperstone). Exceptions on GMT0 are Exness and oanda.
CHART 2
Has and continues to the best performer, the changes are more subtle but still make highly substantial improvement.
In chart 2 there are 3 inputs changing, the start hour from 15:30 to 15:00
Upside gap is moving from 20/10 to 30/20.
All times based on GMT3 broker (IC/Tickmill/Vantage/Fusion/FP/Pepperstone). Exceptions on GMT0 are Exness and oanda.

Hi,
Today marks the start of DST time in USA, where most brokers shift their server clock forward by 1 hour to stay aligned to the US market open.
Unfortunately, not all brokers follow the same methods when it comes to DST changes.
Broadly speaking, most main ASIC based brokers and those who use the GMT+2 format generally switch to GMT+3 at the start of the US DST (not the european one). This list would include main players - IC, Pepperstone, Axi, Tickmill, Vantagefx and so on. They tend to follow suit with each other.
In this case users have nothing to do to the times in the GoldExcel, because gold excel works by placing orders at the start of the US pre-market open (8.35 Eastern) and at the main market open (9.30 am US Eastern). So, when the USA moved the clock forward and broker moved forward +1 these times remained synched, so no alteration is required.
So, thats case 1 taken care of, the broker who moves in line with DST and moves forward by 1 hour is the happy solution.
So, lets take a broker who was GMT+2 and did'nt move the server clock forward, so before the DST come into effect they were 7 hours ahead of New york. (GMT+2 = EST+7)
Now, they are only 6 hours ahead of New York, so the times on the EA need to be pulled back by 1 hour. ***BUT IF THE BROKER DECIDES TO MOVE THE SERVER FORWARD IN LINE WITH EUROPEAN SAVINGS TIME, THE CLIENT MOST REVERT BACK TO OLD SETTINGS.
In this case the times should be changed as such:

Cancel Orders 1625 1525

We release NEW Version 3.0 today for MT5. MT4 will be released tomorrow 26th Nov.
The 3.0 will be added to our 3 tracking accounts from Monday 4th March. This allows users a few days to setup so we can align from Monday. As noted below the system will now trade 2 times a day.
GoldExcel V3.0 - Essential Upgrade.
GoldExcel is 3.0 is an essential upgrade for more than 1 reason.
Performance - GoldExcel 3.0 now will run 2 trades per day as opposed to single trade system. This gives multiple benefits to users
of goldexcel.
Trade 1 (chart 1) MUST run on the 5 MINUTE chart.
Trade 2 (chart 2) will remain on the 30 MINUTE chart. (OR it will actually run on 5 min or 15 min also, immaterial to the trades)
(1) Diversity - By stepping into a twin chart/trade system, the user is making the system more diverse and not relying all on the
single trade to do all the work.
(2) Risk Management - The increase of 5.0 after loss can be an un-nerving jump in lots for most users. By implementing a twin trade, the
extra trade allows us to drop the increase to 3.0 from 5.0 after loss, making the jump after loss much easier to live with.
(3) No Trade Overlap - Trades are open and closed at seperate times, so in no way can there be any trade overlap, hence there is zero
correlation between trade 1 and trade 2.
(4) Stronger performance - The new trade we are introducing is actually stronger in backtesting than the current trade, so we know that
it will fulfil itself as a strong partner to the existing trade.
PROP Account Users:
The GoldExcel 3.0 is critical for prop users also. Problems faced with prop trading is trades disallowed to all use same system, etc.
on V3.0 has multiple ways to "scramble" some of the settings that allows EA to trade almost identically but marginally different and without
any performance decrease.
These small minor changes makes everyones trade a little different from one another, avoiding prop infringement of terms.
These 5 changeable Factors are:
(i)Upside Gap
(ii)Downside Gap
(iii)Trailing start
(iv)Trailing stop
(v)Breakeven
What they can be adjusted to and from is outlined in the updated manual GoldExcel V3.0
We have also provided sets for prop firms in the comments.
Bugs Addressed.(v3)
(1) Issue with not enough money error fixed when users using prop firms and low leverage brokers, this margin calculation issue is fixed.
Especially prevalent when the recovery trade was in play.
(2) Users now with 7 digit broker quotes (exness/IG/Oanda/Weltrade/Robo) have now the ability to use EA without need for special version.
Set files are provided in the comments section for:
GMT+2 6 digit broker (e.g mostly all prop firms,IC, Tickmill, etc, and 90% of all ASIC/FCA/CYSEC brokers)
GMT+2 7 digit broker (e.g weltrade, robo)
GMT+0 7 digit broker (e.g exness,oanda)
Overall the upgrade we believe is a positive one, it boosts performance & diversity whilst lowering the hard jump post loss. This will provide a
more balanced equity curve with uncorrelated trades.
Backtesting - Use sets provided and make sure to use the chart 5 minute when testing. Backtesting results are in comments of product.

******TRADING HOURS AND EA SHUTDOWNS IN FESTIVE PERIOD 2022***
During the festive period I will be shutting down all Experts on Friday 23rd December at market close and not restarting systems until Tuesday the 3rd January.
As New Year Day is a Sunday, the bank holiday rolls into Monday, hence the Tuesday start.
The week of trading from the 25th - New Year is never a good idea with thin markets that can cause spikey conditions, poor fills and general trading malaise.
This allow us as traders to also take crucial downtime away from trading and spend time with family.
Use this time to update your VPS etc.
Any questions, please ask.
