is it possible to unload and reload an indicator inside an EA?

Hi, I want to reset an indicator loaded in my EA. Because this indicator has a small repaint issue, once a signal set, the indicator didnt revert back the signal to empty by it self. today my only option is to change the currency where my EA is set or recompile my EA or eit the EA properties and

iEnvelopesOnArray cause an access violation error

Hi, when I call the iEnvelopesOnArray function I receive an access violation error. iEnvelopesOnArray(mybuffer,0,14,MODE_SMA,0,0.2,MODE_UPPER,i); any other iXYZOnArray work fine (like iStdDevOnArray, iMaOnAraay etc...) only the envelop one failed!!! any idea why? is there anything special to do when

Hi, what are the best formulas to evaluate the performance of a back test? because now we can use the ontester function , we can implement our own formula here... but which one? :) is the SQN (Strategy Quality Number) used by strategyquant in their EA Analyzer tool is good? thanks for your comments

files operations may be locked, is there a timeout possible?

Hi, I'm using a Renko EA to produce my renko charts. but randomly the EA freezes during the file operations. I don't see any option to set a timeout delay when I do operations against a file. what Can I do to insure that the EA is never locked? thanks

MT4 did not list all the indicators and folders from my MQL4 folder???

Hi, MT4 (old and new version) has a problem to display all my custom indicators and EA in the terminal. I create folders with MT4 600+ and my new folder with indicators in it is not displayed. I also add 3rd party indicators, and they not allways appear in the terminal window, but they are available

how to hide orders, stop loss & TP lines in a chart?

indicator not displayed in tester window

metatrader 4 crash using a custom Ind. calling another timeframe

Hi, I'm creating a custom indicator . this indicator call the iFractals indicator on another timeframe. This cause MT4 to crash. but... if I first open the time frame in MT4 (H4 for example), then going back to previous time frame (H1) and then adding the indicator in the window, doesn't crash! so
