Coding question

I'm interested in learning more about how indicators work and how to program them. I know nothing about coding. So, lets say I want to learn how to create my own indicator. What language would I need to start with? From what I can gather C+ but I'm so noob I don't know what I don't know. I trade

Symbols go gray in market watch and can't be traded

These are symbols that I have already added and have been working. They suddenly go gray and can't be traded or edited. I can fix it by restarting MT4 but this gets annoying. Symbols will randomly go gray, no apparent pattern of time or symbol. Can't find anything online about it. It's Thursday, the
