MASpeed

MASpeed is a universal moving average, with an indication of the speed of movement. Points on the line appear when the average moves faster than the threshold value. The threshold value can be specified in the settings. Based on this indicator, you can build a wide variety of trading strategies. The indicator has huge opportunities to adjust the moving average - 10 types of smoothing. 12 price options to build. Added the possibility of sampling the resulting moving. Additional advantages are: fast and optimized code, the ability to use experts without restrictions, additional buffers with useful information about the status and position of the indicator.

The most common use of this kind of indicator is impulse trading strategies. Impulse trading is a trade that consists in opening deals during strong and active movements in the market. Such positions can be held for several minutes or during the entire trading session. It all depends on how strong the momentum is, and whether there are prerequisites for a reversal. In general, the momentum differs from the classical trend in that it is sharper and less stable. In fact, such a movement has no significant pullbacks, the market simply falls into the abyss or soars up. An important characteristic of the pulse is the increased volume, which is not so characteristic of the instrument during the session. MASpeed helps to determine the moment of the very beginning of the pulse. A good example of a deal on this indicator will be the appearance of the first point. The first point on the moving, which appeared after the line color change, opens up the potential for a scalping transaction.

Features of period settings. The parameters of the indicators can be configured at the user's request. He can set a convenient time interval. The smaller it is, the more sensitive and accurate the moving average is in giving signals. Despite the different points of view, there is no "right" time interval. To set up the best timeframe, the user will have to experiment for some time.

    Indicator Parameters:

    • Mode - selection of the smoothing algorithm.
    • PriceM - selection of the price at which the indicator is calculated.
    • Period - the number of bars to average.
    • Phase - a parameter that varies within -100 ... +100, affects the quality of smoothing transients.
    • Step - the sampling step of the moving average in points.
    • Shift - the shift of the indicator along the time axis.
    • MinSpeed - the minimum speed of movement in points required for the appearance of a point.
