The Strategy Tester Journal in MT5 shows the total "number of trades" selected were all opened and executed. This will cause a margin call in real world trading. It misrepresents the outcomes.

Hi Timothy, I appreciate your concern about margin calls. However, the EA already includes robust risk management. For example, the CheckMoneyForTrade() function verifies that there’s enough free margin before placing any orders, and it cancels existing orders/positions before opening new ones. The EA even adjusts the lot size—using either a fixed value or by calculating it based on a percentage risk—so that it stays within safe limits. The Strategy Tester in MT5 may show all trades as executed because it simulates every possible order, but in a live environment, those margin checks and risk management rules prevent over-leveraging and margin calls. Essentially, it’s a known limitation of the tester’s reporting rather than a flaw in the EA’s logic. Hope this clears up the misunderstanding.
