Parameter overview

Gold Trade Pro joins the club of Gold trading EA's, but with one big difference: this is a real trading strategy.

What do I mean with "real trading strategy"? As you probably have noticed, almost all Gold EA's on the market are simple grid/martingale systems, that add trades when the market goes against the initial position.

They are often disguised as "neural network/AI/Machine learning", but if you are a bit experienced in forex and EA's, you can easily identify them as simple grids and martingale systems, which are very risky.

While that type of strategy might look nice in backtests (straight line up, often even manipulated in the tests to get more sales), they always, without exception, fail in the end with a margin call and wiping out the complete trading account.

I see it happen over and over again. Why? Because Gold is a very volatile instrument, and a big move against a grid/martingale setup will happen in the future, despite the beautiful backtests.

Don't fall for the "perfect backtest" EA's... a straight line up does not exist in real trading, so if the backtest looks too good to be true, it always is.

This is where Gold Trade Pro differs. It does not use any risky trading style, but a rather simple trading strategy based on breakouts of daily support and resistance levels. This strategy is very effective for a volatile pair such as Gold.

Each trade has a TP and SL from the start, and the EA will use a trailing SL to minimize risk and maximize profits if price starts moving in the right direction.

Gold trade Pro has 7 different strategies already build in, that work seamlessly together. The result is a very stable growth curve, with some losses here and there as well (but at least not manipulated to trick you.)

Setting up the EA:

Recommended pair: XAUUSD/GOLD

Timeframe: Daily

Minimum balance: 200$

Setup is very easy. Simply open a gold chart on daily timeframe, drag the EA to the chart, and set the lotsize settings.

For low balance accounts (200$-400$), I recommend running only strategy 2,4 and 7 as they have the lowest drawdowns.

Risk settings: I recommend using the "Risk per Trade" and starting with 1% risk per trade. If you feel confortable, you can always increase the risk.

It is highly recommended that you do some backtests first and then starting on a demo account. That way you get a feeling of what to expect during live trading.

I have back tested the free demo. Now using the EA in my Demo account it is set to capture breakouts looks promising but Gold has hit a patch of lower volatility so waiting to see how the EA handles the next leg up or sell off. Have not run on my real money trading account yet.

I have purchased many EA's over the last few years and have had good and bad experiences. I initially bought Gold Reaper & Gold Trade Pro to pass and then run on a Prop Firm account. So far I'm 60% towards passing the challenge and they've only been running a month. On the back of this, I upgraded to the '6 EA's for $1199' offer and am in the process of installing these on $3-5k live accounts. I want to de-risk my trading as much as possible by trading multiple strategies on multiple currency pairs. Wim's EA's will help me achieve this. I will post a further review in a few months time. Incorrect statement made based on impatient trading style.
The ea trades exactly like the backtest and despite having some stagnation currently is still up 80% since its launch a few months ago.
This is not an ea that trades a lot or that wins every week, but is very stable longterm.
I can only recommend to keep monitoring it (maybe on demo to keep emotions out of the game) and then re-evaluate.
If you want a system that never has losses, you won’t find it.

Hi, while I appreciate your opinion, I must point out that the ea has been trading exactly like in the backtest. So it should be no surprise that the ea does not trade a lot. Also, the actual numbers are very good. 100% in a few weeks with low drawdown and very controlled risk. No grid, no martingale, sl on each trade. Exactly what a real trading strategy should have. I would urge you to continue monitoring the ea’s performance and re-evaluate your opinion after a few months. Because let’s be honest, this is just a “frustration” review because you are not in profit after 2 weeks. I believe a trading system needs more than 4 trades before getting a review. At least 6months of trading in my opinion. Also you mention a huge loss. That is impossible. Just check my live results. The max loss the trade is 2% on the higher risk set. 2% can not be considered a huge loss

There are seperate parameters available for adding/subtracting X number of pips to the Entry, SL, TP and TrailingSL values.
This way, you can make your own unique trades, which will further prevent prop firms from flagging you for copy trading
IMPORTANT: do not just run some new values live, without testing those values first in a backtest!
