Developing trading applications in MQL5 and MQL4

I have an external data stream (minutely data - market sentiment data - not available in my broker - or anywhere else) in a mySQL database that I want to bring as custom indicator or expert advisor into MT4 or MT5. Are you experienced in doing that? First step is getting the data reliably into MT4 or MT5 .. implenting my simple trading strategy in an EA on that data stream is the easy part later
