This indicator should be able to read a specified file and show the data as an indicator. This indicator should be callable by other EAs etc, and update on every new bar.
The example file is attached.
The file shows the format in which the data is presented (tab separated). Column one is the date and time and column 2 is the value (this can be any number).
The indicator should:
1. Show the historical values of the data.
2. Update on every bar and check if there is data in the text file available to show. (It may not be at the bottom of the file - it could be in the middle)
The indicator should have the following parameters:
1. Filename
2. Offset period: How many hours the data should be offset from the brokers time. So if the value is -2 and the brokers time is 1400 then it should show up at 1200 with the indicator. If it is 2 then it should show up at 1600 with the indicator.
3. Average or last: In Case the timeframe of the main chart is larger than 1 minute (which is the format of the datafile) then choose one of two ways to show the data file: Last or average. Using last it will use the last available number (say on a 5 min chart it will take the value from the last minute before repainting) and plot that on the new bar. In case of average it will take again on a 5 min bar the last 5 minutes worth of data.
As the data file might be quite large it should be optimized so on running charts it picks up the new value pretty quickly. The indicator should by default not plot on top of the price chart but rather in a subchart.
