I have never used the programming aspects of MT4, but I have need of an EA to do the following. I have seen a basic free MACD EA that is not far off what I want, but it is not quite there, so I may as well get it made to my specifications.
I have a template with 2 MACD indicators displayed as histograms - and I want an EA to place trades when the following conditions are met:
Shorter term MACD Histogram is Blue (Positive), Longer Term MACD Histogram is Blue (Positive), Candlestick is Blue (Close is higher than the Open)
Action: Close any open Short position At Market then open Long trade At Market on next candle with a Stop Loss of 20
Shorter term MACD Histogram is Red (Negative), Longer Term MACD Histogram is Red (Negative), Candlestick is Red (Close is lower than Open)
Action: Close Long position At Market, enter Short trade At Market on next candle with a Stop Loss of 20
This system will be in a trade at all times, so when a Long position is held and the Short signal comes up, the Long position will be closed at market on the open of the next Candle and a Short position will be opened. The reverse when in a Short position.
So in the end, it needs both MACDs and candle to correspond in color at the close of a candle. Enter new position and close the previous position at market on next the candle. I have attached the 2 MACDs to look at as they are not the standard MT4 ones, though it only requires a + or - number to trigger the EA.
I'd like to be able to select Lot Size as well.
If this makes sense to anyone and they can give me a price, that would be terrific
