Specification

I am looking to build an indicator that highlights trading ranges on bar charts using simple criteria that are user configurable.

Next I would like to trade autoimatically based on percentage (user configurable) breaks to the upside or downside. If stopped out the system should reverse and go the other way.

Very simple calculations for the entry, stop and objective.

Would like to backtest the system and see results

EA not opening sell orders in strategy tester 30+ USD
I have a custom EA that works fine in the live market trading, but when doing a back test in the strategy tester , it does not open sell orders. There are no errors or warnings; it just doesn't open sell orders. I've checked every possible reason that might be the reason why it does not open sell orders, but I can't find anything, especially since it works fine in the real market and it opens both buys and sells
