Is there any update about insert tick data (real tick) or even convert file (excel file for example) to TKC to increase MT5 historical ?
I'm very interested to buy some old historical data and make my backtesting more reliable.
Unfortunately my broker offers only 2 or 3 years of RealTick and I would like to test at leat 8 years.

 

No I am not ready, this is a big investment time as langage is not compatible.

If MT5 forces me to convert or redo my code, I will switch to an alternative product, probably an API

Too bad as I am running profitable EAs

MT5 needs a lot of updates...

It seems this job can be done now by custom symbols.
 
No, MT5 trade model is intended for US market. I don't like. Of course you can hedge, but the strange open / close implementation needs always an additional library to get back to simple open /close  mechanism.
