MetaTrader 5 on Mac OS X Lion - Wine

It works.

Wine is used for this, a Windows-compatible runtime environment.  http://www.winehq.org/

Parallels Desktop for Mac creates virtual machines to run Windows and Windows programs on a Mac.
It is a pay costs software. I think that is his money's worth. Runs fast and stable.

There is the function "coherence representation": Windows program window appear directly in Mac OS X.

Hi Finger. Can you run the strategy tester, too? As far as I can remember I had problems on Ubuntu and wine.

Noticed if you work longer with MT5 on Wine(Mac)

  • Is MT5 client and strategy tester unstable. (Crashes)
  • The MT5 market and news tabs will not work.
Too bad.  :(

But work with Parallels Desktop for Mac, very good and fast!  :)
A free alternative to Parallels Desktop would Oracle VM VirtualBox. (without coherence representation)
