14% is idle mode...
if i simply move the window around with the mouse => at least 35% cpu.
is this normal?

Most of the time mine is at 0, when I click on Compile button it rises up to 4% (CPU: i7), if I move the window I got 2%.
What is your CPU ? 2.8 Ghz is not relevant.
the same was in the past for me also, max 5%, like every other process.
my laptop is a macbook pro mid 2009,
CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU, T9600 @ 2.80Ghz
I did more tests meanwhile.
idle, around 13-14%
when dragging metaeditor window with the mouse, 40-50%
while compiling, around 30-40%
terminal64.exe is normal, as usual, around 8%
chrome, around 1-2%
torrent software around 10-15% when is very active
I will try to reinstall metatrader, but not yet, maybe i found a bug
but windows7 could also be the cause, i don't know yet
It seems windows7 related.
I tried other apps, moving them around => same effect, great CPU usage.
After searching google, most of the time is about video drivers.
I've reinstalled video drivers, and now it behaves better.
when moving metaeditor64.exe around with the mouse => around 10-12% => way better
hope this helps the next person
