Why MetaQuotes demo server does not allow EAs to call dll functions? - page 2

Rosh, I see that the header file WinUser32.mqh imports user32.dll and prototypes Windows API functions in a manner that is compatible with MQL4. It's good to know that those functions are available. Still, the mystery is not solved as to why calls to dll functions were not allowed on February 6 but were allowed as of February 7. I ran the same EA both days without any changes to the EA nor to the options. Are we certain that MetaQuotes did not disallow dll function calls on their demo server for the Automated Trading Championship, and forgot to allow them until I brought it to their attention on this message board? I am concerned that dll function calls will be disallowed on the MetaQuotes demo server again for the next Automated Trading Championship. Anyway, thanks for your help.

The answer was:

Slawa 08.02.08 11:27

It is client terminal setting (no trade server setting!) to allow dlls or not

phy, is Slawa an authoritative source of information from MetaQuotes?

Why do you presume that I am "mad at" someone? My first post was simply a request for help in solving a problem.

I think Slawa is a developer for MT4, as is stringo

Ok, not mad. I stand corrected.
