Access to Symbols files
For MT5 the symbol files (m1 the other timeframes are locally 'constructed') are coming from the broker of the account but the formate is not known.
In Mt4 exists for each timeframe a single file. You can find more information on Google: "site:mql5.com MT4 file quotes access".
Can Someone refresh me as to where i can find the symbol files in mt4 or mt5.. I remember long ago there were files on Mt4 and i assume the same files are on mt5.
They showed all the data related to open, close, etc pm all the symbols filed by date and time.. you could go there to see just how far back you had the historical data
inside your hard drive... It would be greatly appreciated if someone could remind me where on the hard drive that is.. It was like text files that you had to download to
make sure you had enough data on that symbol to backtest your strategys... Thanks in advance...
