I’m sorry NEWB question. Where are the symbols?

Just installed MT5 and I’ve got it up and running but what I don’t seem to understand, where are the symbols for stocks? I have a few currency pairs listed but I can’t for the life of me find how to create find stock symbols and build a watchlist.

under View menu, select MarketWatch,

OR on keyboard Cntrl M

 and to show Stocks, you may need to  then right clik on a symbol in MarketWatch, and in right click menu -- select Show All

 

Right mouse click on any space of Market Watch - Symbols to see and to show the symbols proposed by broker.
if you can not find some symbol so it means that the broker is not proposing it, and you may check the other broker for example.

Another convenient new feature of metatrader 5 is adding brokers' servers by their names. I tried to login to my binary account through binary broker but has not been responding all day write to the broker asking their advice

You can actually email the broker these kind of questions. I once asked this question to the broker.
