new MT4 download asking for proxy server! HELP!

I am trying to install a new mt4 on my laptop, but instead of the usual fast install, it is coming up with a box asking for proxy server address, account and password. what is this? Ive never had it before.

1). Did you ask your broker before asking here?

2) This is a technical forum, therefore, you need to provide as much details as you can, or your post will be either ignored, or get responses such as "we can not read your mind", "we can not see your screen", or my favourite "our crystal balls are broken/cracked".

3) what is your OS? and did you search this forum? there is 2 threads with virtually same wording as your post.
