In order to change your investor password you need to go to MT4/5 >> Tools >> Options >> Server >> Change and you will need to put the master password of the trading account too.

Yes I'm also doing that. The red box is still appearing.

i have made this same mistake a few times. I recommend the less stressful thing to do is to contact your broker, get them to change both main and investor passwords, and then get a new myfxbook password and add the new myfxbook password to the comment of a new pending order. It might take a couple hours for myfxbook to recognise and verify your account, but works every time.

Hi, I need some assistance please with changing my investor password.
I linked myFXbook to my account. Their platform supplied an investor password that I applied/changed and my account is now verified. However, I didn't take note of the password.
So now I'm in MT5 options trying to change it, however whichever new password I choose to put into the new password box - it just goes 'red' as if it's not accepting it. I've tried reducing the character count and I'm ensuring that the minimum requirements are met.
Any help please? (Unless there's a way to show the password I verified through myFXbook...)
