Also, deep integration of ChatGPT into Windows OS is possible. This would mean a revolution in the way humans interact with computers. The mouse will be almost unnecessary.

A new round of spiral - instead of full-fledged PCs, a return to the concept of mainframes and intelligent terminals. Without paid subscriptions and Big Brother!

Question for AI:

Conduct a representative statistical study to demonstrate your ability to work with data. The topic of the study is to analyse the demographic situation in the world.

1. Write the content of the study.

2. Write the study itself.

3. Cite data sources, articles, books used in the research (bibliography).

By the way, yes. Paid subscription and internet connection will be necessary. The AI will not fit on a PC.... And then we're not far away from Big Brother. Apparently, external control over users is about to reach a new level.

This is not for me, the list of tasks is too long.

It's not for me, too long a list of tasks.

All right. (chuckles) Thanks for your help. I'll check in later and keep asking him questions.

Four days ago, a new version of Microsoft's Bing search engine was unveiled. The release, according to the CEO, is scheduled for the end of March. The presentation reveals key changes that will supposedly change the usual practice of web search.

It turns out that ChatGPT will not be integrated into Bing, and its place will be taken by a similarly capable "Prometheus" model, specifically tuned to extend Bing 's capabilities and work within the search engine's environment.

Here, a general list of updates:

1. The search engine input string will hold up to 2000 characters, as the language model will process the query in parallel with the search algorithm.

2. As a result, the opened page will be divided into two parts: on the left - a standard list of sites with relevant information, on the right - the AI lay-out on the essence of the question.

3. At the bottom below the window, several icons will be placed for the AI. When you click on "Chat", you can have a natural dialogue with the model through the input field or microphone. The AI will clarify or supplement information, provide links or pictures, and do everything ChatGPT can do.

4. A handy new feature: when opening text documents in pdf format, you can ask the AI to summarise the content in concise terms.

5. Bing will support translations in over a hundred languages worldwide, and even between programming languages.

I may have missed something from their hour-long presentation. Here's the full video:

The side effects of introducing AI into search engines are mixed.

1. people will visit web sites less when getting answers from AI.

2. People will get used to trusting AI.

3. They will stop reading long texts, but only their concise essence.

4. Lose the reason to ask other people about anything.

5. Lose the necessary skills to work with information.

6. They will become less educated and the general level of education in society will decrease.

7. On average, the ability to think will degrade.

Ambiguous side effects could come with the introduction of AI into the search engine.

1. people will visit fewer web sites to get answers from AI.

2. People will get used to trusting AI.

3. They will stop reading long texts, but only their concise essence.

4. Lose the reason to ask other people about anything.

5. Lose the necessary information handling skills.

6. They will become less educated and the general level of education in the society will decrease.

7. On average, the ability to think will degrade.

calculator has led to degradation of the ability to count in the mind, smartphone has led to degradation of the ability to memorise and remember a large amount of information, AI will lead to the transformation of man into a vegetable, if so to judge.

and no - if a person gets rid of a resource-consuming process, then brain power is released, which will be used to develop new skills, it's always been like that, division of labour, automation of labour, digitalisation of labour, AI will be everywhere, it can't be avoided.

I wonder how the AI will pass the school programme. It will undoubtedly get A's in theory, but in solving practical problems....

I'm going to design the tests so that each theoretical question has a problem. From the first to the tenth, (12th) in all exact sciences: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, Programming. Humanities can be omitted to avoid reading his lengthy opuses.

Let's test his abilities in humour, irony, sarcasm, innuendo, allegory, allegories and metaphors. Whether he can communicate through context disguised within ordinary conversation.

Evaluate creativity. How entertaining stories and poems the person writes.

Next, we need to compile tests for compliance in professional areas. See how much time people have left.

The calculator has led to the degradation of the ability to calculate in the mind, the smartphone has led to the degradation of the ability to memorise and remember large amounts of information, AI will lead to the transformation of man into a vegetable if we judge it that way.

and no - if a person gets rid of a resource-consuming process, then brain power is released, which will be used to develop new skills, it's always been like that, division of labour, automation of labour, digitalisation of labour, AI will be everywhere, it can't be avoided.

I won't argue, there is logic in that statement. Only, in order to use the released brain power for something, you need to have 2 things:

1. Brain power that must be pre-developed by active work.

2. an area requiring the application of the power of the human brain.

I'm afraid neither the first nor the second may be available.
