Will we ever be allowed to run multiple instances of MT5 on macOS in the future? - page 2

This may be a silly suggestion since I have never used Wine, but it may still be valid ...

... can't you just use Wine to run multiple instances, each on its own directory and running the MT terminal in "Portable Mode"?

You may need to set up Wine separately and independently.

Exactly, that's the procedure. There are even apps that do that job (multiple instances/directories), such as CrossOver® Mac.

Thank you guys for your help!
I will give it a go and see how it goes, will let you know.

Hopefully I am able to run both terminals so that I can set a copy trader on one of them and configure the other instance as the "receiver".

Today I have finally successfully have more than one MT5 in my Mac without using any additional app. I am using Mac os Sequoia, v15.3.2.

What you do is in in your current MT5, open data folder, just duplicate another "Meta Trade 5", whole folder and rename it.  So now you have "Meta Trader 5" and "Meta Trader 5B" in your program files. Keep 1st MT5 open, open data folder, click on Terminal64.exe in Meta Trader 5B.

** I didn't set up another wine etc.
