Can't get DDE SAMPLE to work, please help

I've followed all the instructions...every one of them.
(I enabled dde server, excel transitions, closed restarted platform, etc.)
Even searched google and tried to get help from my broker.

Still no luck. Can someone help me out or give me some advice, please. Using MT4 and Excel 2000

this must be common enough to get an answer. I've spoke with others having the same problems.
 
Ok i finally figured this out.
Seems that since it is a mini account it uses something like GBPUSDm instead of GBPUSD.
That seemed to fix the whole thing.
