Failing to install MetaTrader4 and Indicators

In Windows11 (in Parallels) running the installer for MetaTrader4, instead installs MetaTrader5
When running MetaTrader5, in the Navigator, if I go to the "Data Folder" and copy in custom Indicators, those indicators don't appear in the Navigator.
Regardless if whether I refresh to file tree or restart the app, those indicators don't show.

So this is a 2-part question.
  • Why is the MetaTrader4 installer, installing MetaTrader5?
  • How can I install my custom indicators and Expert Advisors?

Please search before you post. You can only download Metatrader 4 from brokers — https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/165973

MT4 should be downloaded from the brokers' websites only — https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/357417#comment_19618828

You can also not mix MQL4 and MQL5 programs, such as indicators and EAs. The platforms are not compatible with each other.

Please also note that MetaTrader 4 is no longer being actively developed for many years and could soon reach it's end-of-life ... MT4 End Of Life

 

Ah ha, thanks very much Fernando. That's indeed what I did - downloaded and installed MT4 from my broker.
