Strange delay in execution via VPS

Hi all, hope someone can help with an issue I am seeing.

Background:

  • I have a VPS with a professional company who specialise in financial services, my ping to broker is often <1ms.
  • On the same VPS I have two different MT5 accounts at the same broker. 
  • The VPS runs the two MT5 instances and runs the same EA. 
  • The idea is that the EA executes a market order at the same time each day (around 14:35:00).

Issue:

Some days one of the accounts will take a large delay (9 seconds+) to execute the market order. I have seen it alternate between the two accounts. I thought I fixed it once by restarting the VPS, but two days later the issue came back. 

Question:

Would anyone be able to take a guess as to why this may be the case?
