The secret to know this is to figure out the tick value of a symbol in account currency.

To compare these values across various symbols, you must "normalize" the tick size to one common factor.

Then you will find out what symbol gives the most profit/loss per tick.

In Forex this is usually GBP.
 
if you wanted to compare this gain based on previous days, you could use a fast length moving average or even a 1 day moving average and compare the values from today to previous days. the difference is the gain
