Problem downloading MT4

Hi, I've been trying to install MT4 on my new PC but the installation files I download from https://www.metatrader4.com/en/download just gives me MT5

Anyone got a solution?

Please do a search before you post! You can only download MT4 from brokers.

MetaQuotes no longer provides it because it is no longer develops it. In essence it is no longer supported much.

Installation error - MT4 download is installaing as MT5 -=> very very odd!

The support for MT4 was stopped long time ago. It means the following:

  • it will not be any key improvement of MT4; it will be just error fixing only;
  • we can not download and install MT4 from this mql5 portal; we need to go to the brokers' websites to download and install MT4 (because the brokers are still supporting MT4).

    when i try to install mt4setup.exe, MT5 installs

    It has been years since you could download MT4 from Metaquotes. You can only get it from a broker's website.
