- Ricks creations #: how to make my arrow stop repainting
for(shift=Bars-ExtDepth; shift>=0; shift--
Replace your repainting loop; See How to do your lookbacks correctly #9 — #14 & #19.
-
if((res!=0)&&(res>val)) ExtMapBuffer[shift+back]=0.0;
Do not modify older candles.
-
SetIndexEmptyValue(0,0.0);
You replaced EMPTY_VALUE with zero for the first buffer, but not the second?

Thank you so much for all 3 of these informations but i am a little confused at how to implement them into my code
Hello,
If you put a process on every tick price change, in this case it's a process inside start(),
then repainting will always happen.
To prevent repainting, you can put the process on every new bar.
- The process is only done in each new bar.
also, the arrow must have a unique name.
for example the object name contains incremental numbers.
regards.

I am still new to coding and I was trying to make my arrow system stop repainting. what do I need to add or remove from my code because right now it always repaints.
