Clock. Just a wall clock.
There are no questions to the point as a minimum value)
Why in MT"_Point is pips" but all others have"_Point is NOT pips"?
again - why is the MT Item not fractional?
or - why with others, the Item is fractional?
add an adjective, e.g. "standard" -- "standard point/pip"
and then your question would go something like this -- why does MT use "point/pip" (whole) in its statistics and others use "standard point/pip" (fractional)
Clock. Just a wall clock.
One movement of the second hand is a point.
------------------------------------------------------
Minimum shift of the second hand is 1 second:
When the hand is moved by 1 point, the time is changed by 1 second.
It can't move less than a second, as the point is 1 second.
------------------------------------------------------
Minimum shift of the second hand: 100 milliseconds:
When the hand is moved by 10 points, the time is changed by 1000 milliseconds. Or 1 second.
The hand cannot displace by less than 100 milliseconds, because the point is 100 milliseconds, but it can displace by less than one second, as the point has 10 times 100 milliseconds each.
------------------------------------------------------
So, if the hand starts to move at 0.1 second (instead of 1 second) then 1 second becomes 0.1 second?
add an adjective, e.g. "standard" -- "standard point/pip"
and then your question would go something like this -- why does MT have "point/pip" (whole) and others have "standard point/pip" (fractional)
so there is a point_mt (whole) and there is a standard point (fractional)?
i.e. two different items?
Does that mean that if the clock starts shifting at 0.1 sec (instead of 1 sec), 1 second becomes 0.1 second?
For you maybe, but for everyone else, the division value will change.
give definitions, interesting to read)
You may have it, but for everyone else, the division value will change.
exactly)
but the second will remain the same, right?
Why then should the Item change when you add a digit?
A point is a direct "relative" of a pips, but describes the change in quotations to the left of the decimal point. Because it is a larger parameter, the term 'point' is mainly used in stock markets where shares are traded. That is, if a security has fallen from $120 to $115, it is said to have changed in value by 5 points.
We were talking about English-language terms.)
and you're using russian.
exactly)
But the second stays the same, right?
Why then should Item change when adding a discharge?
A second, yes. But the measurement here is not in seconds, but as accurately as possible - in divisions, i.e. in points.
So if the clock starts shifting at 0.1 sec (instead of 1 sec), then 1 second becomes 0.1 second?
Don't piss me off. I'm very patient. But...
A second is a second. But in a second there would be 10 points - the minimum change in time. Right now, with the smallest possible movement of one second, there is one point in one second.
