The fight against PYTHIA 8 has come down to a dumb formula... - page 9

sergeev:

and this can also be reduced to the even simpler formula ABS(High-Low)*Vol *SIGN(Open-Close)

Why does the ABS need to be there? The number in brackets will always be non-negative.

Interesting... I'm currently dealing with the expert Liliput, who won in 2008... he's also a non-syndicator
I wonder how a contest expert got into your hands. According to the rules, all experts are deleted after the competition.

Farnsworth:

How about we talk about the Jedi? :о)

You see, it's not very correct. If you want to "shut up" the interlocutor, you can ask him a fundamental question. While he puffs and grinds his quill, wasting his thoughts on the tree, you can quietly mind your own business. So, I will answer it, but only if you tell me where life comes from.

:о)

You need at least 90% of your brain to answer this question

Liliput sold it on his website... go and look it up before you talk

Deeply mistaken young man, ahem, ahem. Life appears (starting with the process itself) when no more than 0.01% of the brain is working, i.e. all on instincts and the lower chakras :o)))

We're talking about different *beginnings* grandfather))))

Create a thread on Lilliput - let's reengineer it

So, I gave up and started trading with my own algorithm...because the EA

I don't want to open orders at the right time, just by timeframe ...

I still haven't figured out how to use a timeframe-independent function ... :-((

It worked on the first six orders (and tried it on the pound as well)... and wrong... :-)))

I got tired quickly though... and had already calmed down ... :-)))

Maybe it's bullshit, but so far I haven't tried it with my own hands...

and the price was bouncing around quite a bit... it's not my fault that Down went

( and why should we do twenty pips... :-))

it turns out that it's the difference between High and Low that determines the floating timeframe... here I'm still out...:-))

(I told you that time is not one of the fundamental factors at all and should be thrown out, but how...?...)

(P.S. I perfectly understand, as Reshetov says, why open twenty orders if one works (and lose on spreads),

but the fact is that all entries were exactly on the downside, and could have worked much more...)

(... but buy went in and it's not moving yet...)

Farnsworth:

You might as well question all the achievements of modern physics, for they were all built by such creatures.

That's what I'm saying - what it costs us to build a house...:-))

StukovAlexStv:

What do you mean, figuring it out? There is no source code and you are trying to figure out how it works from its behaviour? Or is the source code too complicated? Is this Lilliputian a pipsqueak? What is the number of deals per day - 2 or 200 ?

Many questions ))))

Look at his trades and you will understand everything... the code is tricky...
