Exploring the world is like visiting the garden of stones at Reanji Monastery in Japan. The main attraction in the Japanese city of Kyoto has many names - Garden of Stones, Philosophical Garden, Reanji Garden. The fifteenth, the one that has been hidden so far, is now among them, but now the other stone has disappeared. Another step and the whole picture is presented - in a different composition. One of the stones is invisible again. This is a visual "model of knowledge" - a metaphor of life.
A new step opens another world, a different situation, or the same situation, but from a new perspective. You don't have to try to solve all the problems first and only after that you can move on. We must not wait, we must not procrastinate, we must move. Every step leaves a trace and opens new horizons. Movement from the past is useful also because it seems quite bearable to us today what seemed terrible yesterday. It is necessary to be able to look at the situation without naming it. Giving it a name gives rise to fear and uncertainty.
The gallery of this "garden" is like a journey through life.
In the garden of the monastery only fourteen stones are visible for one person, but everybody in the gallery can see the whole "garden" from the beginning to the end - all the fifteen stones. No matter how many interpretations there may be, not a single one of them reflects the picture of life to the end. Only a "grain of truth" made of many "views" and at the same time - independent of any of them - can do that. One must not run through the gallery like the wind, trying to grasp the whole picture, but to freeze on the long steps going down to the stones. But not to count them again, but to have a better look at the next fragment, this "frozen moment of reality". To be frozen in silence. To hear the words of someone who has gone farther than you and is now speaking to you from the other end of the gallery, describing a picture which is not yet accessible to you, but which has already opened before "his" gaze.
