My targets for the rest of the week: Up - target 1.3930, Down - target 1.3635

Dow Jones Newswires column by Francis Bray, MSc Technical Analyst /MSTA/
LONDON, Feb 11 (ANI). /Dow Jones/. Moving charts for 24 hours:
Sounds great!!! - "Master of technical analysis", I immediately wonder, what am I then? :)))
does anyone have any idea what "trend" might mean in the words "weekly trend" or "three-day trend" for analysts? and why not "three-week trend" but one bar is a trend?

"Master of technical analysis" sounds loud, but not reliable.
In theory a trend is a three step forward, one step backward price movement in a cycle, if a bar = a step, then one is not a trend for your TF.
"Weekly" and "three-day" is probably a time intrval, i.e. which sentiment will dominate at that time according to the forecast
And what is a "Pivot Point*" is still a mystery to me. Under the asterisk there is an indication of how it is calculated. According to the theory, it is a point when the market changes its direction of movement into the opposite one - "reversal".
And what does Axel mean by this point? - Is it a balance/reversal/reversal point?
I think the trend is a directional movement, the path of this movement is measured from point to point - then at least the trend can be analysed on 2 bars, but one bar has Open and Clowes, and this is the start point and the end point, so one bar can also determine the trend.
Why did the person choose three days to analyse the trend and what does he measure in interesting ( in bars of which TF, Day,4 hours,1 hour...). "This phrase is always on my mind when I'm smoking :)
As for the pivot point, I think it's just a psychological tool, to make the analysis more fun :)
Xenia, what is the balance point? If the pivot and non-return points are at least somewhat understandable to me, but the balance point of what is unclear ...
And if a reversal has occurred, it will locally be a point of no return, although I would not use the term "point of no return" for myself, as for me, the term, as they say, "melts the brain" :)
from Wikipedia :)
A trend is a general trend in a multidirectional movement, the expressed general direction of changes in the indicators of any time series. Trends may be described by various equations - linear, logarithmic, power, etc. The actual type of graph is established on the basis of the graphical representation of time series data, by averaging the indicators of the dynamics of the series, on the basis of statistical testing of the hypothesis about the constancy of the graph parameters.
Trend in economy - the direction in which the indicators are predominantly moving. It is usually considered in technical analysis, where the direction of prices or index values is implied. Charles Dow noted that in case of ascending trend, the next peak on the graph should be higher than the previous ones, in case of descending trend, the next declines on the graph should be lower than the previous ones (see Dow Theory). The trends are defined as upward (bullish), downward (bearish) and sideways (flat). A trend line is often drawn on a chart. It connects two or more price troughs in an ascending trend (the line is under the chart, visually supporting it and pushing it up), and it connects two or more price peaks in a descending trend (the line is above the chart, visually limiting it and pushing it down). Trend lines are support (for an uptrend) and resistance (for a downtrend) lines.

The pivot point is calculated as the sum of the high, low and closing levels divided by three.

Hehe, from my post: "Under the asterisk is an indication of how it is calculated" for those who haven't noticed. The question I have is not how it is calculated, but what is it for, what does it mean.
