It would be desirable to highlight somehow. Either blink, or put in a separate line, or at least write Personal Messages.
And ideally, blink the icon that's under the avatar.
Not bad to make on the left or right of the forum this mini chat as on many forums. They won't litter the forum with unimportant messages like: "Hi Vasek, let's go have a beer - Kolyan, you won't believe it, I'm still recovering from yesterday."

Well you can do it on the side. Live-chat is just a way to exchange a couple of words without leaving the forum, it's very convenient. And it doesn't make sense to go into a chat room... is not reasonable. And you can't see the subject of the conversation.
