Will MT5 allow importing third party data AND manual input of spread & broker commission amounts when doing a backtest ???
Dear MetaTrader (Stringo or someone else from MetaQuotes Software Corporation) ;
(1) Will MetaTrader 5 (MT5) allow us to import third party forex and "futures" data in ASCII text format, into the platform (history center) which will allow us to do backtesting on this third party data?
(2) Will MT5 allow us to "manually input" and choose different spread amounts to be used when running a backtest?
(3) Will MT5 allow us to set different broker "Commission" amounts within the strategy tester (like we could in the MetaTrader 3 strategy tester) when running a backtest?
Please note that many futures and forex brokers charge BOTH a "spread" and "commission" to place a trade, so this feature is needed in the MT5 strategy tester (please note that MetaTrader 3 allowed us to manually set the spread and commission amounts for a backtest, we need the same in MT5 too).
Look forward to you answers to the above 3 questions. Thank you for your help. Much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Rod

stringo, any plan to make adjustable spread function for testing?
MT4 has "Spread Changer" software, so we can test 0 or even minus spread,
but since MT5 doesn't allow us to touch any history data, or no symbols.sel file,
we have to wait for you to do it.
Or, please anybody to make *.csv to *.hcc converter!
